Let this set of pictures be my meager contribution to the coverage of the 2015 Winter Classic in Washington, DC.
I am currently across the street at my friend’s condo, drinking beer we all already paid for and eating food that wasn’t sold at 35x markup.
The choice of beer is interesting. It’s a 2 year old bottle of Tröegs Flying Mouflan Ale that I bought after the 2013 AHL Outdoor Classic in Hershey, PA. Baby Caps outside, big Caps outside. I’ll do a lot to enjoy hockey.

Barry Trotz may not be content as the Director of Donut & Coffee Acquisition for the Nashville Predators. Instead, he may want to coach the Washington Capitals. A noble idea, but there’s some doubt that he can win over that room. Trotz is a former Portland Pirates (at the time the Caps’ AHL affiliate) and…Washington Capitals…head coach who may be itchy to get back behind the bench. Is he ready for this coach-killing team?
